Wacom recently updated their Bamboo line of consumer tablets. These new tablets feature multi-touch operation and allows input from both fingers and pens. Aimed at consumers who have more ‘digital lifestyles’, I also think that photographers and artists will be especially overjoyed by the fact that Wacom’s new Bamboo tablets (which include the Bamboo Pen, Bamboo Touch, Bamboo Fun and Bamboo Craft) are affordably priced, feature upgraded pressure sensitivity and can be operated using fingers for ‘leisure moments’ when you’re […]

I recently had the opportunity to attend Panasonic’s Lumix Star Search event, which also turned out to be a surprise launch of their new Lumix camera.
Hey, it’s time again for DPInterface’s “Request a review” for readers! We’ve got 2 months till Thanksgiving and 3 months till Christmas (holidays, yay!) - what cameras would you like to see reviewed on DPInterface? I already know that everyone wants to see the Canon PowerShot G11 review… anything else? Leave a comment on this post!
*Note: I’ve temporarily ‘eased’ the comment system for this weekend so you can post a comment with just your name (email address is optional) […]
Notice something different about the site today? Here’s why - the DPInterface 3.5 design is finally up! You’ll notice that the site now looks sleeker (a lot easier on the eyes!), runs faster and easier to navigate. The changes here aren’t radical, merely hybridizing our previous two designs (versions 2 and 3) into one neat looking piece of work.
There are a couple of things that still need some tweaking over the weekend, but phew, am I glad that 90% of […]
Yes, the reaction to yesterday’s new Canon camera announcements was HUGE and the excitement still continues. My e-mail inbox was, and continues to be flooded with questions about the Canon G11 and requests for a writeup or full review of the Canon PowerShot G11! Yes, the demand is that crazy!
Unfortunately, the Canon PowerShot G11 is due for store shelves only later in fall 09 (at the moment, October is Canon’s plan). No one, not even other camera review websites (or […]
I am truly sorry about the downtime of the site for the last 48+ hours. In case you didn’t hear about it, we had a huge traffic spike last Saturday and our (silly) host decided to pull the plug on DPInterface. You can read about everything here: dpinterface.wordpress.com, and I’ll post a full length explanation/rant once I get the site’s contents to safety.
We’re still on our old host (ugh, LunarPages) so if something screws up again (knock on wood), you’ll […]
Thanks to the 3000+ readers who took our little survey last week, we got down to writing our first ever Camera comparative review and have just published it today! Our comparative reviews, not to be confused with Group reviews, will be an extension to our usual reviews; which means full reviews are NOT going anywhere. Let’s say I had to review a bunch of ultra-zoom cameras:
A group review would be a single review article, attempting to review all three cameras […]

Well, I’m not really a big fan of covering leaks and stuff, but when I noticed much of the internet community talking about the Panasonic GF1 (which was leaked this evening) and the ‘mysterious port/slot/piece/button thingy’ below the hot shoe, I thought I’d chime in to help solve the puzzle. It’s not a slot, it’s not a button, IT’S A FINGERPRINT READER!
The instant […]
Hey all, thanks for being loyal readers of DPInterface. I apologize for the delay of the Nikon Coolpix L100 review this week… the site has been undergoing some upgrades under the hood. But now, we’re back in gear - look out for the Nikon Coolpix L100 review first thing tomorrow morning. There are gonna be a lot of reviews over the next couple of weeks this summer, too many to list in fact. Some more interesting cameras I have here […]
