Panasonic announces Lumix GF5 compact system camera

Panasonic has just announced a new compact Micro Four Thirds camera that supports interchangeable lenses. The new Panasonic Lumix GF5 succeeds the Lumix GF3 we recently reviewed and looks almost identical on the outside.
The Panasonic Lumix GF5 has several ‘under the skin’ changes which include:

Fujifilm has just made details of their first ever mirrorless interchangeable lens camera today. The new Fujifilm X-Pro 1 throws yet another interchangeable lens system into the growing market of mirrorless large-sensor cameras, using Fujifilm’s new X-mount and lenses. The camera has a rangefinder-like design and looks to be a premium mid-range camera in terms of price.

Panasonic took the wraps off the true successor to their 2009 Lumix GF1 today. The Lumix GX1 is their latest compact interchangeable lens camera which sits a little higher up from the market position that the Lumix GF3 currently occupies.

Samsung just announced a new compact interchangeable lens camera. The new Samsung NX200 looks to be a brand new competitor to the likes of the Olympus PEN cameras, Panasonic GF3 and Sony NEX 5N.
