Canon PowerShot SX260 HS (and SX240 HS)

Canon has just announced a new compact super-zoom digital camera model, the PowerShot SX260 HS, which sports a huge 20X optical zoom lens, full manual controls, GPS, face recognition, Full HD movie mode and plenty more features. Canon has also announced a plain variant of the camera, the PowerShot SX240 HS, which looks identical to the SX260 but comes without the GPS feature. The non-GPS SX240 HS will be available in most parts of the world except America.

  • Optical image stabilization
  • 3 inch LCD (461,000 pixels)
  • Full manual controls
    Enhanced Smart Auto mode and Face ID face recognition
  • Built-in GPS with tracking
  • High-speed continuous shooting up to 10 frames per second (full resolution)
  • 1080p Full HD (1920 x 1080) 24 FPS movie mode with stereo sound and opitcal zoom
    High-speed/slow motion movie mode
  • Takes SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards
  • Uses a lithium-ion battery
  • Available in March for $350
