Maybe it’s just me but I find the TZ10 samples SOFT, HAZY, WASHED OUT, and the colors poorly saturated. Compared to a ‘lesser’ compact model like the canon s90 the latter’s sample fotos just jump out the screen and slap you on the face with its sheer brilliance and clarity. Perhaps the TZ10 is the emperor with new clothes. Somebody please refute me because I sorely want to buy a TZ10.

I too was worried about the color saturation issue, as my current camera was a Canon 790 with great color saturation. Not too worry….very little difference if any that I can see. AND…it’s a wide angle, IS in the zoom, great lens….love this camera. The new Canon which I tried at length in a camera store was very annoying as each time you turned it on up flipped the flash. anyway….I’d buy another Lumix. Do watch battery time if you have the GPS on. (fun to transfer the photos on the road to our ipad…they locate by gps on a map….btw, gps re-check once an hour automatically…and I assume there’s a way to force a gps re-check…just learning this camera.
