Olympus brings out three new cameras

Olympus has announced three more cameras today; a big zoom camera (which appears to have dropped the “Ultra-Zoom” moniker they’ve been using for years), a compact super-zoom camera and an entry-level model.

Nikon rolls out new Coolpix cameras for 2011

Well, Nikon didn’t announce (or even officially appear, though I bumped into one of their guys from Nikon Japan) anything at the Consumer Electronics Show last month in Las Vegas, but they’re making announcements now! Better late than never, right? Fujifilm ready to launch FinePix X100 rangefinder style camera

After talking about it at Photokina last year, Fujifilm is now ready to launch their rangefinder-inspired FinePix X100 digital camera to the market. And with that comes more details about this unique camera, as well as an availability date (March 2011) and price tag ($1199!). Here’s the scoop on the FinePix X100:

Two new EOS Rebel digital SLR cameras from Canon

Canon has introduced two new entry-level digital SLR cameras, updating their two previous models (from 2008 and 2010 respectively) with fresh ones from 2011: the new Canon Rebel T3i and Rebel T3. The two new digital SLR models today bring modern features to the table; with the Rebel T3i featuring a notable new feature - wireless flash control (a first in a Canon entry-level SLR model)

Canon introduces new PowerShot and ELPHs with “HS” CMOS sensor

Canon has just announced four new compact camera models with new 12 megapixel CMOS sensors which enable high-sensitivity/high-speed shooting capabilities. First off, we have the compact super-zoom PowerShot SX230 HS, whose biggest changes from its predecessor are: built-in GPS and full HD movie mode. There are also three new ELPH models (with 2011 models dropping the “Digital” and shortening names to just “ELPH”), all of which also sport the ability to record full HD movies.

Two new Sony cameras with big zoom lenses

Sony has just announced two new cameras this morning equipped with their latest 16 megapixel backlit CMOS sensor. These two super-zoom cameras, a compact one and a ‘full-size” super-zoom, sport high speed and high sensitivity shooting modes, built-in GPS and compass, high resolution screens and the ability to record Full HD 1080p/60p movies.
