DP Interface has recently recovered from a slow down on our host’s servers last weekend, which caused the site to be inaccessible from Friday thru mid-Monday.

Keep those camera review requests coming – we’re listening. This week, we have the Nikon D300s SLR and Panasonic Lumix TZ10 (also known as Lumix ZS7) reviews coming out on Friday and Saturday respectively.

On next week’s agenda, we have a couple of new 2010 Nikon Coolpix compacts and a Panasonic Lumix camera. And April is gonna keep us fairly busy with several new Sony cameras coming in, along with a few Canon’s and Olympus’. Of course, there will be reviews of cameras from other brands in between, so look out for those as well!

The first step before even designing a website is to find a place to host it on. Even the most attractive and modern of websites are useless without a good web host to house it. A website host needs to be stable, affordable and reliable to ensure high uptime. A web host also needs to have a good and knowledgeable support team that can respond quickly and effectively. Certain aspects such as supported programming languages, databases, control panel and pre-installed scripts can affect individual choices of web host. Therefore, it is preferable that a web host can cater to as broad a range of users as possible by having feature-packed hosting plans. Some features like CPanel and Fantastico can allow users to self-manage most of their hosting, reducing the manpower needed by the web host and also simplifying access to various functions. This is especially handy for beginners and novices alike to quickly get their website online. Hence, think carefully when picking a web host and be sure to choose the option that is the best.

if there is one thing that is most important to a website besides design and user-friendliness is the place that the site is hosted on. A web host needs to be just as user-friendly in letting users develop their website, offer good support and most importantly, be stable and not host other “trashy” websites on its servers that may affect other users. In addition, the price must be right too in order to offer users affordable hosting along with good stability. Hence it is important that users find a good, website-friendly web host that can cater well to their needs. Extensive research is usually needed to look for quality hosts for a website. There are some web hosts that cater to the specific area that a website wants to cover, such as non-profit organization hosting, family friendly web hosting and Church Web Hosting. These web hosts are good because they give users what they want and have plans dedicated to their wants and needs. They may even be able to offer more knowledgeable support for websites of the same genre. Hence, when picking a web host, be sure to pick the right one as it is a long term consideration and also where your website will dwell throughout its life.

It’s official! Panasonic global just made two new Micro Four Thirds cameras official. The new Lumix G2 and G10 (the G2 is the higher end model of the two) both replace the aging Lumix G1. Yes, two cameras to replace one – the Lumix G2 being the more ‘direct’ successor of the G1, while the G10 is probably going to be a lower priced alternative. No news about the replacement for the Lumix GH1 however, but I wouldn’t be surprised if its replacement is due for later this summer/fall…
