October 24th, 2007 New Sony album-T
Today Sony announced their new Cyber-shot T2, dubbed their Album-T series. It has 8 megapixels, the usual 3X internal optical zoom lens, optical image stabilization, a 2.7 inch touchscreen and 4 GB of internal memory. It will be available in December for $350.
October 23rd, 2007 Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III high ISO samples
Today, I present some full 22 megapixel photos from a production level Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III all shot at high ISO (ISO 3200). Attached onto the camera was Canon's 600mm f4L IS super telephoto lens which shot all three of the photos in the gallery. Well, what are you waiting for? The Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III is Canon's current flagship professional digital SLR camera recently launched 2 months ago in August. The Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III is expected to be available from next month, retailing for $8,000 body-only.
October 16th, 2007 Olympus E3 announced
Olympus announced their new flagship Four Thirds digital SLR today. It features a 10 megapixel LiveMOS sensor with liveview, a really big 100% optical viewfinder with 1.15X magnification, sensor shift image stabilization, 5 FPS burst mode and a weathersealed body. It will be available in November for $1700 body only. Olympus also announced two new flashes, with guide numbers of 36 and 50, priced at $300 and $500 respectively. There are also three new lenses from Olympus too:
- Zukio Digital 12 - 60 mm, f2.8-4.0 SWD ED ($1000)
- Zukio Digital 50 - 200 mm, f2.8-3.5 SWD ED ($1200)
- Zukio Digital 14 - 35 mm, f2.0 SWD ED ($2300)
In other news, Pentax announced their new Optio A40 and Optio V10 compact cameras earlier this month.
October 13th, 2007 Still alive
I'm still trying to post an update or two on the site despite being busy with real world work until next month. With just about all the new camera announcements done for the year, everyone's prepping up for holiday and year-end shopping already.
