Sony Alpha A700
Sony announced their new mid-range digital SLR today.
- 12.2 effective megapixels (CCD sensor)
- Sony Alpha/Minolta lens mount (1.5x crop factor)
- CCD-shift image stabilization
- Anti-dust and dust removal
- NO live view here
- 3 inch super high resolution LCD
- 11-point AF
- Weather sealing
- Optical viewfinder with 95% frame coverage; 0.90X magnification
- Maximum ISO 6400
- Full manual controls with RAW mode and hotshoe
- Shoots at 5 FPS till the memory card is full (JPEG) or 18 RAW
- Dual memory card slot akes CF cards (Type I and II) and MS Duo cards
- Uses NP-FM500H lithium-ion battery; takes up to 650 shots (CIPA Standard)
- Available in October for $1400 (body only), $1500 (with 18-70 kit lens) and $1900 (with 16 - 105 lens)
