Kodak EasyShare V610

Kodak introduced another dual lens camera today. The V570 is for ultra-wide scenery and now the V610 is for telephoto shots. This is now the smallest 10x zoom camera (instead of the recent Panasonic TZ1):

Kodak EasyShare V610

  • Two 6 megapixel CCDs
  • One lens is 39 - 114 mm (f3.9 - f4.4) and the other, apparently the bigger one, is 130 - 380 mm (f4.8)
  • 2.8 inch high-resolution LCD
  • No manual controls
  • Bluetooth enabled (built-in camera)
  • MPEG4 VGA 30 FPS movies
  • Takes SD/MMC cards
  • Uses a lithium-ion battery (135 shots)
  • Available in May for $449

Kodak EasyShare One 6MP

And Kodak also announced a very oddly named camera today - The Kodak EasyShare One 6MP. It's essentially a 6 megapixel version of the Kodak EasyShare One - now known as the Kodak EasyShare One 4MP (?!) - and priced a whole lot cheaper at $299.

Second quarter revealed

The first quarter of the year went pretty well for DPInterface. We managed to build up more traffic during post-transition of web hosts, convert all 2005 reviews to a more organized style, review 2006 cameras as soon as possible (we've already reviewed 6 so far) and setup a news archive, which were DPI's first quarter targets.

Today is April the 1st, 2006. It's April Fools day (this is not a joke though), and also the start of the 2nd quarter of 2006. As usual, I've laid out some plans for this period (April till June 06).

In the second quarter, DPInterface plans to further increase site traffic. This is in order to keep up with other review sites, especially given a reviewer who started at about the same time as us receives more traffic.

In addition to that, DPInterface targets to review more 2006 cameras and, following our recent trend, include full-fledged photo galleries too. We also plan to post our first ever Olympus and Fujifilm reviews.

We have also plans to improve our reviews. So stay tuned for those changes and more!
