March 17th, 2006 They're here
After lots of demand for me to review them quickly, I've just posted the Sony Cyber-shot W30 review and Sony Cyber-shot W50 review along with a photo gallery for each review. So how will image quality turn up? Find out now!
March 15th, 2006 Don't do that!
I have a friend who recently returned his new Canon SD500 Digital ELPH because he was sick of the "irregular movements on the LCD", in low-light of course. Well, the camera lowers the frame rate in return for a brighter preview - You can't have everything, can you? But no....
March 13th, 2006 Early 2006 top 10
There have been a lot of imaging shows such as PMA and CES as usual. Here are my personal top picks for cameras released in the last two months or so:
1. Olympus EVOLT E330 - First dSLR with live view - You can frame photos using its 2.5 inch LCD 2. Fujifilm FinePix F30 - First compact to feature ISO 3200 which is usable (at full res), also has full manual mode 3. Canon PowerShot SD700 IS - A stylish camera with a 4x zoom lens, optical image stabilizer and usable ISO 800 4. Panasonic Lumix TZ1 - World's smallest ultra-zoom with 10x optical zoom and optical image stabilizer 5. Kodak Easyshare V570 - World's first dual lens camera - one regular 3x zoom lens and a super wide 23 mm lens 6. Pentax Optio M10 - Probably the best battery life in a compact camera (900 shots), priced at $229 too! 7. Olympus Stylus 720SW - A thin camera which is waterproof and shockproof, it can withstand a 1.5 m drop 8. Nikon Coolpix S6 - An ultra-thin camera with a 3 inch LCD and WiFi 9. Sony Cyber-shot H5 - An ultra-zoom with 7 megapixels, a 3 inch LCD and high ISO capabilities (ISO 1000) 10. Panasonic Lumix L1 - Panasonic's first dSLR which looks very classy and uses Olympus' live view technology
I've used the Canon SD700 IS and Kodak V570. Now, what I must see are the Panasonic L1, Sony H5, Fujifilm F30 and the Olympus 720SW. Look out for their reviews soon.
