Samsung unveiled a new ‘premium’ pocket camera today, the MV800 Multiview. The camera earns its unique moniker from its upward-rotating LCD display where the whole back panel of the camera can be flipped up all the way to face yourself for self-portraits.

Samsung has also released a new compact super-zoom camera, the WB750 which replaces the less-than-a-year old Samsung WB700 (whose review we will be publishing soon). The WB750 has a familiar 18X optical zoom lens but sports a new backlit CMOS sensor, a couple of new shooting modes/features, bigger display and better movie mode.

Fujifilm FinePix X10 announced

Fujifilm has just announced a very exciting new camera (Well, thanks to some folks who broke their NDA’s by leaking stuff on the net, the surprise has been spoiled slightly…), a new entrant into the compact prosumer camera market: their new FinePix X10. The FinePix X10 is a rangefinder style camera with a fixed lens and CMOS sensor, along with a bunch of manual controls which are bound to delight those looking for a travel/compact supplement to their existing digital SLR gear. Of course, the camera is rather compact (but not exactly pocketable) and has a solid feature set that will court regular users too. Check out all the details here:

Nikon took the wraps off their new flagship prosumer digital camera today, the Coolpix P7100. This new camera goes after the likes of other prosumer cameras out there like the Canon G-series. The camera comes with a hotshoe, RAW mode and various enthusiast level controls on its body.
