Kodak releases two new ultra-compact cameras (V530 and V550), both with 5 megapixels and 3x optical zoom. The LCD size and presence of an optical viewfinder are the only differences between the two.
Meanwhile, Nikon has released the Coolpix S2 which is slightly larger (but still very compact) than the S1 but is now splashproof. Scene modes, in-camera redeye fix and digital flash have also been added.

Olympus introduced the 8 megapixel Stylus 800 Digital today and it comes with manual controls such as aperture and shutter priority along with many scene modes.

There are new Kodak cameras today: EasyShare C310, EasyShare C330 and EasyShare C360.
