Hey everyone, today is our anniversary! We may not have been around since the start of the digital camera era, but we started at the right time, when digital cameras started to evolve quite a bit from ‘just taking pictures’ (when things like digital SLR live view and manufacturers began making bridge cameras again). Four years and 130 camera reviews later, here we are now. DPInterface is still going strong and we’re constantly working on improving our site and reviews… A big thanks to all our readers and we hope you’ll stay for the many years to come!
P.S. Lots of interesting things happening next week – more reviews and a new camera announcement (in case you haven’t been keeping up with the rumors)!
With PMA and the steady stream of new camera announcements from January to March over, things are about to become busy – summer is coming, school semesters are finishing, everyone’s getting busy, going on vacations, shopping (well, maybe less so because of the current economy…). But rest assured there will be reviews of your favorite, most sought after digital cameras here on DPInterface!
To those who wrote in to me or left comments on the site, you’ve been heard. I’ll try my best in getting out reviews of digital cameras which are popular among our readers; and of course, those requested by readers. Hey, it’s not too late to “ask for a camera review”, leave a comment here! Again, I’ll try my best – I can’t make guarantees because I’ve got a lot of cameras lined up here at the moment.
And in case you’ve missed them, here are some of the latest reviews DPInterface has published recently:
Check them out! Thank you all, for being readers of DPInterface and also for your patience.
Hey DPInterface readers, I’ve recently started a little poll on the style of our digital camera reviews that you see on the right. Basically, it’s a simple survey of what kind of reading style you prefer to read our reviews in.
- Single long page review – this is the current format of all DPInterface’s digital camera reviews where everything is fitted into one page.
- Multi page review – split the current reviews into several sections (Introduction, camera tour, camera features, image quality and conclusion) to give readers a feel of flipping through magazine pages when reading our reviews.
Which do you prefer? Just pick the style you prefer to read our reviews and click the “Vote” button on the right sidebar. No registration or other details required. Thank you all.

Get ready for two digital camera reviews today- I’m starting off with the Panasonic Lumix FX37 review and then the Panasonic Lumix LS80 review later in the day. Don’t worry, there are other brands, more reviews, to come towards this weekend so stay tuned for those as well.
I’d like to wish all our readers a Merry Christmas and happy holidays. I’ll be taking a short break this weekend but not to worry, I’ve got two (or three) reviews planned for next week, hopefully before the new year. Have a great weekend all.
Hey everyone, hope everyone’s having a great weekend out there and enjoying Christmas shopping. Just wanna say it again, in case anyone missed it – I posted my review of the Canon PowerShot A2000 IS on Friday along with the Canon A2000 IS photo gallery which contains a lot of real life sample photos; about 20 of them, be it outdoors, indoors, close ups, shots with flash… they’re all in there. So be sure to have a look at that gallery.
Another thing is that Christmas is coming… which means everyone’s busy with shopping and things are gonna get busy in the next two weeks. But not much time for me to rest and relax now – DPInterface is going on full steam ahead to provide you with various camera reviews, so any last minute purchasing considerations or decisions won’t be too much of a problem as you can always check out our reviews. I’ve even posted up a digital camera Buyers Guide which contains a list of cameras I would recommend in different price brackets.
Right now, we’re on track to post our Olympus Stylus/mju 1050SW review (a sturdy camera with unique tap control), Canon PowerShot A1000 IS review (the A2000’s sibling) and more next week. If you have any questions, comments, cameras you’d like me to review or even, would like a little help in making a camera decision, do email me at [dpi] at [dpinterface] dot [com] or leave a comment in this post.
Today is Turkey Day in the US. Happy Thanksgiving to all our readers who celebrate Thanksgiving!
And be sure to make a rush for the bargains on Black Friday! I’ve posted my review on the Canon PowerShot SD990 IS Digital ELPH, which is a compact 15 megapixel camera! And it feels like just yesterday that we were all happy with our 7 megapixel point-and-shoots… The SD990 IS Digital ELPH review is the first of three 14.7 megapixel camera reviews that I will be posting. Yes, I’m gonna have a “15 megapixel compact camera special”; the other two camera reviews coming up are of the Nikon Coolpix S710 and Panasonic Lumix FX150 – Both are compact cameras with 15 megapixels and manual controls too.
Hopefully I’ll be able to post the other two reviews in time for Christmas, so to help you decide and pick the 15 megapixel camera of your choice.
