Check if you’ve removed the lens cap, then remove the lens to see if there’s anything stuck between the lens and camera. If nothing seems wrong, it could be that your sensor and/or shutter mechanism is messed up and you should contact Panasonic’s official support to get the camera fixed.

MY NEW LUMIX G1F IS ALL SET UP, BUT, ALL THE IMAGES ARE JUST BLACK! IT TAKES THE PICTURE, I HAVE CHECKED THE CARD IT IS NEW, IT PLAYS BACK FROM OTHER CARDS WITH PHOTOS TAKEN ON OTHER CAMERAS, BUT, ALAS, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, IT EVEN COUNTS THE NUMBER OF NOTHINGS!
