Olympus SZ-30MR

Olympus introduced a new “super” super-zoom camera today, the SZ-30MR, a fixed lens camera with dual image

processors and plenty of optical zoom (24X to be exact!).

  • 16 effective megapixels (backlit CMOS sensor)
  • 25 – 600 mm (f3.0 – f6.9) 24X optical zoom lens
  • Sensor-shift image stabilization
  • 3 inch LCD (460,000 pixels)
  • No manual controls
  • Dual TruePic III PLUS imaging processors
    9 FPS continuous shooting at full resolution (but up to 5 photos in a row)
  • 3D Picture mode can create a 3D photo out of two pictures
    Panorama mode can automatically record and connect photos into a panorama as you pan the camera
  • Magic Filters and Intelligent Auto
  • 1080p Full HD (1920 x 1080) 30 FPS movie mode with sound
    Multi Record option allows you to simultaneously record 1080p movies while taking full resolution photos
  • Takes SD/SDHC/SDXC cards
  • Uses a lithium-ion battery
  • Available in April for $400
